Two ways we can help

Whether you're planning a multi-day conference or a family wedding, we shape the childcare around your event.

For conference organisers

Conference childcare pop-up rooms

We set up and run a childcare room at your venue for the length of your conference, so delegates with children can attend.

Think of it as a pop-up creche. Our team brings the care; the venue provides the space.

At a glance

  • At your venue, for a single day or across a multi-day conference
  • Run by our own carefully chosen babysitters
  • Planned with you, around your event and the space available

What's included

  • Planning and organising the childcare, including contacting parents before the conference to confirm each child's details and needs
  • Activities and equipment for a safe, fun room: toys, story books, puzzles, craft, child-sized furniture and hygiene supplies
  • Working with the venue on meals and snacks for the children, so there are regular food breaks through the day
  • Babysitters on duty from half an hour before the conference starts each day until half an hour after it finishes

For couples and event hosts

Weddings and special events

Our babysitters look after the children at your wedding, party or event, so parents can enjoy the celebration and children are happy and safe.

It's a thoughtful thing to offer guests with young families.

At a glance

  • Weddings, parties, festivals and community events
  • From a few hours to the whole celebration
  • Carefully chosen babysitters, so parents can relax

What's included

  • Activities to keep children happy and busy, such as games, puzzles and crafts
  • Everything planned around your event: the time of day, how long it runs, the children's ages and the venue

Important to know

How many babysitters will you need?

We base the number of babysitters on the ages and needs of the children in our care, not just on how many children there are.

A room of babies and toddlers needs more hands than a group of school-age children, and we plan for that from the start. Heidi will talk this through with you when she prepares your quote.

Every child is welcome. Some children need extra support, for example children with autism, ADHD or anxiety. Let us know when you enquire, and we'll plan the right support and the right number of babysitters for them.

  • At least two babysitters at every conference and event

How it works

  1. Step 1: Tell us about your event

Dates, venue, hours and roughly how many children.

  2. Step 2: We plan it with you

Heidi talks through your needs and the space available.

  3. Step 3: You receive a tailored quote

Every event is different, so every quote is too.

  4. Step 4: Our team looks after the children

Carefully chosen babysitters on the day.

The earlier you get in touch, the better – a lot of preparation goes into every childcare room.

What we need from the venue

The venue provides the space; we provide the babysitters and the care.

The venue usually also provides the children's catering and larger furniture such as tables, chairs and port-a-cots. We'll talk this through with the venue for you, and any venue costs are discussed with you before your event.

When you enquire, we'll ask what sort of space is available: for example, a separate room, an area within a larger room or an outdoor area.

What parents provide

Parents provide nappies, spare clothes and any medication their child needs.

Our babysitters don't give medication, so parents give it to their child themselves. We provide smocks for messy play.

Peace of mind for you and your guests

Parents need to know their children are in safe hands, and so do you. Before joining our team, every babysitter has:

  • A one‑on‑one interview with Heidi
  • Two reference checks
  • A Working With Vulnerable People check Required under Tasmanian Government legislation.

Questions from organisers

How far in advance should I enquire about a childcare pop-up room?

A lot of preparation and planning goes into organising a childcare pop-up room for an event, so the earlier you get in contact with us, the better.

Enquire about your event

What's included in an event quote?

Every event is different, so every quote is tailored to it. A conference quote usually covers planning and organising the childcare, activities, equipment and supplies, and your babysitters' hours (set out day by day), so you can see exactly what you're paying for. Venue costs such as the children's catering are invoiced by the venue.

Event organisers: tell us about your event

We'll plan childcare for the children attending your event. Share your dates, venue and roughly how many children you are expecting, and Heidi will be in touch to talk it through.
